WADA HOUSE

The whole space is designed by preserving the traditional style of Wada architecture and modifying it for a modern Pune house through some elements. The space gives warmth and feel of traditional Pune home décor yet fulfills the current situational demands as per user’s need.

The Design highlights the emergence of Wada Architecture, its elements, spatial planning, ornamentation, fenestrations, religious influence and overall design philosophy. Beautification, of course plays an important role to enhance the space for which all these elements are used.

Design Philosophy

A traditional Wada features long, empty corridors with wooden pillars situated at regular intervals. Here the Wooden Arches and Pillars into Play in TV unit and the windows. Wooden arches and pillars gives a traditional look to the house.

Inspired by the designs of traditional Puneri Wadas, this type of home décor incorporates the beautiful elements of Maharashtrian culture. It incorporates wooden and metal elements that reflect many historical forts spread across all of Maharashtra. This draws inspiration from the royalty.
